State of the Arts Academy delivers professional, inclusive and affordable performing arts training for all ages and abilities.

Our aim is to provide an accessible and friendly environment where students can develop and excel in their chosen avenue of creative performing arts.

Our teaching staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their field of the arts and deliver both group sessions and private tutorials within the academy.

A fantastic and new exciting addition to Hull’s Old Town is State of the Arts Academy. Cobbled streets are surrounded by reminders of Hull’s past. In the museum quarter you’ll find everything from 200 years of transport history, to the replica of an early 20th century street. Nearby is the home of one of Hull’s most famous sons William Wilberforce.  Located on the High Street, the academy resides in a purpose-built venue, once accommodating Hull College of Performing Arts, it boasts:

A large dance studio, with sprung-floor and mirrored-wall.

An extensive black-box performing arts studio.

A light and spacious drama studio.

A large rehearsal studio.

An equipped music department.

Private tuition rooms.

A café.

A workshop for properties and costume.

Disabled access to all 3 floors.
